Membership

From its initial six founding members, the Association's membership presently stands at 41 members. Membership to the Association is open to all offshore companies established or registered under The Offshore Companies Act, 1990 for the sole and exclusive purpose of carrying on offshore banking business in Labuan under The Offshore Banking Act, 1990 and who shall hold a valid license to carry on such business.

New members applying for membership shall only be eligible for membership if they meet all of the following criteria:

i) The applicant must be a branch, subsidiary or associate of a banking group;

ii) The banking group must be supervised by an internationally recognised and accepted banking supervisory authority in its home country.

Membership subscription is currently at RM2,400 per annum.
